Director, Adult Trauma Program, MUHC
Dr. Tarek Razek is a trauma/general surgeon and intensivist. He has worked with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) as a war surgeon. He trained in Geneva with the ICRC war surgery course and has been deployed to the Sudan and to Haiti after the earthquake in 2010. He is a co-director of the Centre for Global Surgery at the MUHC and actively participates in the surgical development programs in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and Kigali, Rwanda. Dr. Razek is the current Chair of the Canadian Network for International Surgery (CNIS) board of directors. He is also assistant physician for the Montreal Canadiens Hockey Club.
