Linda Ward, RN, B.Sc(N), M.Sc(A) is Assistant Professor at the School of Nursing, McGill University. She holds a B.Sc from the Université de Montréal and a M.Sc (Nursing) from McGill University. Her nursing experience began in Belgium, and she has held several nursing positions at the Hôpital Ste-Justine as Clinical Nurse Specialist (Pediatrics), Perinatology Coordinator, Assistant Director of Education, and Director of Nursing. She participated in a five-year Canada-Uruguay international cooperation project, to decentralize the management of hospitals from the Ministry of Health to the individual institutions, and to ensure continuity through the creation and implementation of a university training program at the Master’s level. Since January 2004, she has been a Board member of the Order of Nurses of Québec and she was recently elected President of the Montreal-Laval Regional Order.
