President and CEO, Rockland MD
Dr. Taras is a general practitioner and President and CEO of a private ambulatory surgical centre called Rockland MD. His interest in change came from exploring the use of information technologies in his general practice within an academic hospital, first in providing information to patients, then in developing electronic health records that could incorporate evidence-based medicine. He started an ambulatory surgery centre and is developing a public-private partnership with a Montreal hospital.
