Chief Executive Officer, Health Quality Council
Gary Teare, PhD, MSc, DVM, joined the Health Quality Council (Saskatoon) in January 2005 as Director of Quality Measurement and Analysis and became Chief Executive Officer in April 2015. He is Adjunct Professor in the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology, and in the School of Public Health, University of Saskatchewan; Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto (Department of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation); and, Affiliate Scientist at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences in Toronto. Dr. Teare is a member of the Provincial Leadership Team of the Saskatchewan health care system, which is comprised of Deputy Minister of Health, health region and provincial health organization CEOs and Board Chairs, and physician leaders. He served on the Institute Advisory Board of the CIHR Institute of Aging from 2008 to 2013 and is principal investigator for the Saskatchewan site of the Canadian Network for Observational Drug Effect Studies.
