Partnering with patients to improve care: Essential skills and strategies

This conference is designed to equip you with the skills and motivation required to take action and partner with patients to improve care. It will look at how patient engagement in health care has evolved, where it is heading and what it contributes to the innovative capacity of healthcare organizations. Best practices in patient recruitment and training, tools to evaluate engagement efforts, and innovative partnership methods will be presented. The healthcare community will discover resources and models to help initiate or further their own efforts, and healthcare leaders will discuss next steps they must take to support the spread of patient partnership.

The 7th annual conference of the MUHC-ISAI took place on October 2 and 3, 2014, in Montreal. Clinicians, patients, clinicians, manager and policymakers explored current manifestations of patient engagement and how they are changing health care processes and outcomes.
